Yesterday in my psychology seminar we were discussing how we, as people, do not make decisions. It is our brain that makes decisions. A structure within the brain called the basal ganglia acts as a damn to all possible responses to situations. It only allows through the reponse that is the most active. Activity of a response is determined by evolutional and conditional learning. We then socially justify the decision our brain has made.
